We gon' party like it's your birthday.
My second boy has hit eight. Wow....eight. The party was today and the rains held out so all the kids could hang outside. It was chaos but fun chaos. All the kids had fun and that is my definition of a good party.
Cake was a hit.
Food was plentiful.
Folks had fun.
Kids ran amuck.
Presents were appreciated.
Thanks were given.
Friends and family were treasured more than cake and gifts.

8 seems to be such a fun age. So big, and yet still glimpses of the little boy (but, you know, not so many now... *grin*) I hope this is a fantastic year for him.

Thank you but please. The fact that A. You HUSBAND made your cake (That is a well trained man.)and B. he made it all freehand totally trumps my cake.
But I did get all obsessive over the ball buy measuring out the pentgons and octogons. I even cut out templates.
The candles were my favorite.
