Today's lesson

Science: Viral containment and how viruses affect our bodies
History: Famous plagues, including the ZooHouse pandemic of 2004
Home economics: The suggested diet of sick stomachs and techniques for carpet cleaning.
Preschool letters of the day: B R A T
Math: Determining time between "incidents"
Reading: closed captioned cartoons (it is hard not to read that stuff)
Latin vocabulary: vomitus, dormus, regurgitare, defaecare

Read alouds:
Everybody Poops
Germs make me sick
Rick is Sick
You wouldn't want to be sick in the 16th century
Who's sick to today?

Well, back to the pestilence. The natives are awake, restless, and demanding chicken soup.

OK, does that officially qualify as the Unit-Study From Hell? I'm so sorry you guys are all icky! Here's hoping the chicken soup and some extended snuggle time keeps y'all on track to start a totally different unit study tomorrow!

Thank you Dy.
Alas, the sickness prevails in the younger boys.
We're missing today's scout meeting so I guess the bigger ZooBoys will have to learn to play marbles at home with me. And we have to make a rocket model.

That doesn't really fit in with my plague unit study.
